# Reports

Generate charts, hosted report pages, Word documents, and PowerPoint decks — no external credentials required.

## What It Enables

| Tool            | Capability | Description                                                                     |
| --------------- | ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `create_chart`  | `write`    | Generate a chart image (PNG) and optionally upload it to a Slack channel        |
| `create_report` | `write`    | Build an interactive HTML report page hosted at a temporary URL (up to 8 hours) |
| `create_docx`   | `write`    | Convert markdown to a real Word (.docx) file and upload it to Slack             |
| `create_pptx`   | `write`    | Build a PowerPoint (.pptx) slide deck and upload it to Slack                    |

Chart types: bar, line, pie, doughnut, radar, polarArea, scatter. Reports support metric tiles, tables, charts, and text sections. `create_docx` and `create_pptx` require Slack to be connected for file delivery.

All tools are `write` capability and require admin approval by default.

## Setup

**No API key required.** The Reports connector is built into every Notara workspace and is always available. Chart rendering uses [QuickChart.io](https://quickchart.io); file delivery goes through your connected Slack workspace.

There is nothing to configure. The connector appears automatically in your tool list.
