# Intercom

The Intercom connector gives the agent read access to your customer conversations and contact profiles.

## What It Enables

| Tool                 | Capability | Description                                                                                             |

| `list_conversations` | `read`     | List recent conversations with status, assignee, and customer info; supports open/closed/snoozed filter |
| `get_conversation`   | `read`     | Read the full message history of a specific conversation                                                |
| `search_contacts`    | `read`     | Search contacts (users or leads) by email, name, or phone                                               |
| `get_contact`        | `read`     | Retrieve a detailed contact profile including tags, location, and custom attributes                     |

All tools are read-only.

## Setup

**Required:** Intercom API access token.

**Where to find it:** [app.intercom.com → Settings → Developers → Your apps → Access Token](https://app.intercom.com/a/developer-signup). Create an app or use an existing integration and copy the Access Token.

1. In the Notara dashboard, go to **Tools**.
2. Click the **Intercom** tile.
3. In Intercom, go to **Settings → Developers** and open or create an app.
4. Copy the **Access Token** from the Authentication tab.
5. Paste it into the connector field and click **Verify & Save**.

Your API key is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
