# OpenAI

Use your own OpenAI API key to let the agent use GPT-4o or other OpenAI models for specific tasks.

## Setup

**Required:** OpenAI API key

**Where to find it:** [platform.openai.com/api-keys](https://platform.openai.com/api-keys)

1. In the Notara dashboard, go to **Settings → AI Providers**.
2. Click **Add key** next to OpenAI.
3. Paste your key and click **Save**.

Your key is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Notara will use it for tasks routed to OpenAI models.
